Once a horse pasture, extensive lawn area and a monoculture of Himalayan blackberry, Albers Vista Gardens transformed to a vibrant, botanically rich and aesthetically pleasing landscape embellished with a diverse horticultural mix of colors and textures and remnant native woodland. Guided by the desire to create a sustanaible landscape, Albers Vista Gardens is a vision that has become a reality during the last eleven years through restoration and preservation plantings and the hard work of the property owners, John Albers and his wife Santica Marcovina.

BREMERTON — Stone paths meander up and down the hillside, connecting more than a dozen diverse botanical collections. Lush ground cover hugs the stones, trailing along from the far reaches of the Madrona Woods, through the Stroll Gallery and the Cutting Garden, all the way down to the John Lentz Garden, a memorial to the late rhododendron enthusiast.
